QRigin vs QR Code Generator PRO in short
QR Code Generator PRO is built around dynamic codes on a subscription. Its help pages say dynamic codes made during the 14-day trial are deactivated when the trial ends, and scans go to a service page until you pay. QRigin makes static codes that are free and keep working.
| QRigin | QR Code Generator PRO | |
|---|---|---|
| Static codes (link written into the code) | Free, unlimited, never expire | Yes, but the site steers you to dynamic codes and a trial |
| Dynamic (editable) codes | Not yet ($9 once is planned) | Yes, on paid plans |
| What happens if you stop paying | Nothing; there is no subscription | Dynamic codes stop redirecting until you upgrade |
| Account needed | No | Yes for the trial and dynamic codes |
| Scan statistics | No (add UTM tags to your link) | Yes |
| Your own logo | $2 once per design (ready-made logos free) | Included in plans |
| Downloads | PNG and SVG | PNG, SVG, EPS and more |

Frequently asked questions
Why did my QR Code Generator PRO code stop working?
Their support pages say dynamic codes made during the free trial are deactivated when the trial ends, and they come back if you upgrade to a paid plan. The code itself points at their redirect server, not at your link, so it can be switched off.
Can I fix a deactivated code without paying?
Not the printed one: it points at their server. Make a static code for the same link here, free, and reprint. Static codes contain your link directly, so nothing can switch them off.
Is QRigin related to QR Code Generator PRO?
No. QRigin is an independent tool. Their name is a trademark of its owner.
