How to make a QR code for a Google Form
- Open your form in Google Forms and click Send (top right).
- Click the link icon, tick “Shorten URL” if you want a shorter code, then Copy.
- Paste the link into the box above.
- Download PNG for slides, posters and handouts, or SVG for large prints.
- Scan it with your phone once before printing to check it opens the form.
Tips for form QR codes
- Make sure the form accepts responses and isn't limited to your organization, or people outside it will see a sign-in page.
- Editing the form's questions doesn't change its link, so the printed code keeps working.
- Print it at least 2 cm (about 0.8 in) wide, and bigger on posters people scan from a distance.
- Add a line of text next to the code (“Scan to RSVP”, “Scan for feedback”) so people know what it's for.
Frequently asked questions
Does Google Forms have a built-in QR code?
Not in the form editor. Chrome can make a basic QR code for any page from its share menu, but you can't style or download it as SVG. Copy the form link and paste it here instead.
Will the QR code stop working if I edit my form?
No. Editing questions doesn't change the form's link. The code only stops working if you delete the form or stop accepting responses.
Does the code expire?
No. QRigin makes static codes: the form link is written into the code, so there's no trial or plan that can switch it off.
Can I see how many people scanned it?
Google Forms already counts responses. For scan counts, add a UTM tag to the link or use a shortener with stats.
